Default 6 to 8 rib coversion

i have a 6 rib setup on my 79 c10.i was making 10psi with my old setup. i am pulleyed for 14psi now. since my retune the belt is slipping. i just got a corvette ati 8 rib super damper. my blower pulley is also 8 rib. originaly my serpentine setup was from an fbody, i had shimmed the blower to make it work since it is for a corvette. im not running the powersteering pump. my question is will i have to change the location of the alternater when i make it an 8 rib? or will it work in the factory fbody position with an 8 rib pulley?

hey bob. my factory pulleys are from an fbody, but i had to use a corvette procharger setup to make it work. thats why i shimmed my procharger out about an inch to get it inline with the rest of my pulleys. this is on my pickup.
