Thermostat Rec. On Supercharged Cars?
What temp thermostats would you guys recommend on a supercharged z06? i was thinking 180 or 160 over the 195. Any ideas and please state why if so. Thanks!

Thanks guys! im doing a little work on a friends car and i couldnt believe he had the factory thermostat still with a magnacharger on it! This thing gets heat soaked! Figured 160 would be a good choice just wanted some reassurance!

For a road car, race car, what driving conditions ??
I found that with the cold stat in place, I got a LOT of condensation within the crankcase and breather system.
Im now back to 86degC stat ( circa 185-190F )
If I was going racing in very warm weather, I would refit the 160F stat, but for all the rest of time, I'd be back to the 185F

We usually run in very hot weather and beat on the car pretty hard. with the stock thermo we were running 220-230 on the temp and oil was hotter yet. Has an oil cooler too. I think 160 would be a good choice for this one. Normally i wouldnt recommend one but in this case I think its a good idea
