Default Kentucky turbo?

So i was looking to get into FI next spring and was wondering what i should do. What im saving for is to put a 427 with twin 76s on the car. At the same time all my other buddies have put money into there cars mostly nitrous. All i have is full exhaust as for power increasing mods. The price on the kit that is shown is very reasonable. I understand that i will need a fuel pump injectors and tune, and notch my radiator support with dual pusher fans. I was just wondering how this kit performs as on the street and at the strip. Im not looking to build an all out super car maybe around 500 hp on stock engine. Its just to get me by and enjoy for the next few years and let me learn about FI. So if anyone has any experience with this kit or maybe list some other things i dont know about that you must do, id appreciate it.

a 427 with twin 76's is like 1500hp range just so you know.... If you are only looking for 500 then stick with one 76 and a 427

my goal for the car in a few years is in the range of 930-950 hp on a lower boost setting maybe like 17 or 18 so not to lift a head. But until i can do that i was just looking at the Kentucky turbo kit and make around 500 whp to just have fun with.

I personally think that 17 or 18 psi is pretty high, maybe not for the supra guys but 12 to 15 sounds a little better

Yeah I think 17-18 is a pretty high boost number for the lsx series motor. Be prepared to make tons of power, whats the reason for twin 76's and a big 427. Why not just a big 80-88mm single turbo?

So the Kentucky Turbo kit would just be a temporary kit on your stock engine and then you would swap it out for a new setup or can the Kentucky turbo kit be upgraded to run the turbos you ultimately want to use? A stock engine can make 500 rwhp with approx. 8psi. I would suggest meth/alky injection though if you want to be on the safe side. Another potential kit is the APS twin kit.

the reason for twins is because i love the very semetrical look of the turbos in each corner. and i have seen other setups like this make around 900 rwhp on around 13 pounds of boost. my buddy jsut finished his 408 with an s88 but i have always wanted twins in each corner. and the kentucky turbo woudl be taken off when i had the money to change my steup.

Especially for a 427... Though I hit those psi numbers with an LS1 just fine.

yes.... use the kytp 76mm kit on your stock motor and make 550 rwhp safely, and have fun. Then when you are ready sell it and do whatever you wanted.

If this is really what you want to do with the twins, depending on who does your kit, be prepared to do some heavy cutting on the car..... And I am only speaking from experience! I have what you are talking about and I had to cut this **** out of the frame to make things work....

First off being a six speed you should have no problem making 500rwhp on the stock engine on 8-9 pounds of boost. To be on the safe side an alky/meth kit would be advised to keep it reasonably safe. That will all depend on you tune and who is doing the tuning on the car. The standard kit with the TC-76 turbo will do you fine for what you're wanting. You could also step up to a larger setup and still be able to use it down the road when you swap to a larger LS motor. Send a private message to Josh@KYTP or give him a call and he will answer any questions you have.

Currently I am stacked and not taking new orders.

In my opinion, I would hold off and save the $$$ for the Twin setup you are planning down the road. Just start slow with low boost. It keeps the learning curve simple. I am more than willing to discuss a build for you. I am sure I can set you up with a system that will meet your goals.
