That kit is for LS1/LS6/LS2 engines not LS1 F Bodies. Just like the KB the Whipple has been making kits that fit our gen III engines for years (look at the truck market). These kits are for people who install them in hybrid type projects meaning LSx swaps into buggies, trucks, street rods etc. that have the room for those type of fits. Just because it says LS1 on thier sight does not mean it is meant for F Body. Now way thats gonna fit unless you cut the cowl and probably the front windsheild. Now if I was installing a LSx into a 70 split front bumper Camaro (possible next progect) then a KB or Whipple will go on it before anything else.

the whipple will not fit the ls1 in a 4th gen f-body or corvette due to the throttle body placement. you will need a custom intake elbow/plenum and custom hood.

The system also fits in the factory 6-rib belt loop of the truck/SUV as well as the F and Y body vehicles. Whipple also offers an optional 10-rib belt system available for the high HP applications which features a grooved ATI super damper and accessory pulleys.
It/I could be wrong tho. Plus how much bigger is a whipple than say a magnacharger because magging seems to be the way to go.

they have kits for the different serpentine system being used but it is not meant to fit either the corvette or f-body chassis. the blower if far too tall and their is no way to make the throttle work without serious fab work.

The whipple is on it's own is 8.5" not including the manifold. if you can figure out where to fit 13" worth of blower in a f-body in a corvette as well as a rear facing throttle body then by all means try it.

Even the truck kit does not sit directly over the heads it is a side mount uint because of it's immense size.

months ago i spoke to the engineers a whipple to try and get a kit sorted out and we came to the conclusion that there is no way to make it work,

Actually guys, these whipples are made for the F and J bodys, and in the C5 vetts the kit actually comes with a hood to clear the blower, its a 2.5 inch cowl hood. im not to sure on the f-body though. there is a spefic kit for the sand rails aswell

The kennebell comes with a hood to clear the corvette.

These whipples are not meant for the f-body's chassis, just the serpentine drive. Measure from the base of your intake manifold 13" and that is how tall the blower is. in an f-body the blower would be up into the windshield.

The kennebell blower is ~9-3/4 inches tall and need a special hood to clear the corvettes. the whipple would need almost a 6 cowled hood.

so its made to fit a cavalier as well? wow, sorry bud but the whipple doesnt come with a hood. these are just tuner kits that they sell for the engines thats it, now u can use them on any car you want, its a universal ls1 kit, it will take time getting it to fit perfectly in ur specific application. in a cavalier, i'm sure the 3.3L whipple will take up the entire engine bay on its own lol. in an f-body no way to fit under the cowl.
