Default headers 1 3/4 or 1 7/8?

i am going to be getting a procharger d1sc kit, i may not be able to do my headers right away, but what would be better should i go with 1 3/4 or 1 7/8 i don,t plan on any major internal mods so i was thinking 1 3/4 would be good, does it make a difference with FI and i,m looking at either kooks or american racing brand, would 1 7/8 be overkill or hurt it at all??

I went with the TSP 1 7/8...the D1SC install will begin sometime this month. For $480 I think they were a nice deal. I notice no low end tq loss either.

Go with 1-7/8",
Voice of experience, Put on 1-3/4" and found 6 months later I was building again and had to sell em for the upgrade to 1-7/8" . I didn't plan on any major internal mods either, But the power is addictive

What's the rest of your exhaust setup? It makes no sense to go large if you have a different bottleneck further downstream. If you are planning an upgrade downstream, with the D1SC I agree, go large right away and save the money.

I dont think you will loose much down low if anything with the 1 3/4" . I would go with the 1 7/8's.

Quick Reply: headers 1 3/4 or 1 7/8?
