Default Forced Induction on DOD?

Can you put a turbo or SC on a DOD engine? Just thinking ahead for mods on the new Camaro SS.

There's a thread under the sponsor section I think. Va Speed put a Maggie on a G8.

There are things that need to be modded for this. I got some info from a friend that works there. Seems that the lifters (which work the DOD) have to be swapped for traditional lifters, even when the DOD is disabled via computer tuning. Think that was the only hiccup in the project. Said the car ran really strong after the install.

so basically you get rid of the DOD. That does seem like the only logical way. I was trying to think of how to do FI while keeping the DOD.

You must be loaded on cash to force induct a brand new car under warranty. Not that it doesn't happen around here...

It not a really good idea to employ those lifters is a max effort setup. I have seen them break and it not pretty at all. I replace them with traditional style lifters and trays.

shouldn't you be able to bleed off the extra boost through a bypass valve when the other cylinders turn off? if not why wouldn't the heads open the valves while DOD is engaged to 4cyl i thought it was an interuption in fuel and spark not valve train.

When the cylinders cut out the engine is in vac, in boost the ecu would command 8 cylinders. I have driven a boosted truck with DOD and it drove fine.
