How to check blow off valve???

How to check blow off valve??? How can I test my blow off valve on my P-600B Procharger at idle. What should it be doing. I know what it should sound like at WOT during decel but anything I can check for while at idle?? I have the dual intercooler kit with stock blow off valve.

It should be fully closed at idle and not venting any air. The bov should only function when you get off the throttle and you have some boost (how much boost depends on your preload and spring tension in the bov).
