Question Just dynoed my TT ZO6

I just bought this car last week so I took to the dyno to see how much power this thing have I still waiting for the builder of the car to arrive so I can have all the info on the car.

01 ZO6 with less 30k miles
Mods that I know:

Engine:
Build 346ci 8:5.1 compresstion, MTI Stg 2 heads, custom turbo cam, all valvetrain.

stock trans and rear.

STS TT ZO6 dont know the size but the owner said they are the biggest turbos STS offer.
Fule system

with 9psi and Air/Fule ratio 10.0 all the way to 6000rpm and 13.0 after 6000rpm to 6400rpm (thats whan I let go)

The car made 499rwhp 476rwtq SAE with hot wheather.

We tried to tune the car but the tune was locked

What do you guys think about the numbers Oh I also found all stock Cats and stock H-pipe are stil on the car????

I will remove the CATS and add 3 X-pipe (stock headers) and retune with 13psi

Any comments will help

First thing, the tune is McFucked. The A/F ratio is way off on both ends. Best thing to do is get a new PCM and start off fresh. Once you get the car tuned, it should make a bit more power.

Secondly any tuner that locks a PCM should be whipped with a Corvette hood performance seal until they admit their wrong doing

Once you open the exhaust up and tune you should be around 500+ on 9 psi hows the fuel system set up that may hinder you.

I would def check into your fuel system and make sure it is up to it. Def need to get it tuned. I also dont think your going to get 3 psi from removing the x pipe and cats either.

Did the dyno have load on it?

On an unloaded dyno, my car only makes 6 psi at 4k rpm, but it makes 14 psi by 3800 rpm on the street. This will effect your dyno numbers.

Bro the A/F is not even at 10:1 beleive me thats the lowest than your wideband can read its probably below that which is REALLY BAD, dont drive the car like that, fix the damn a/f 11.5 sounds good.

Ps. it doesnt look like a load dyno (from the looks, I might be wrong). I say fix the tune youll get a lot, if the a/f is messed up that much, im pretty much sure the entire tune is trash.

Those are down right pathetic numbers for a twin turbo LSX car period! get a new pcm and have it tune and 600rwhp (with fuel system of course) should easily be attainable.

I think the previous tuner tuned the car at a higher boost level and off the wastegate the car is really fat for safety reasons. It might be down on power, but the alternative could be a blown motor.

Get off the numbers tip and wait for the guy who sold you the car. He should have access to the PCM and he will tell you whats going on. Yes you have paid for the car, but to protect themselves from the buyer coming back and saying the car is messed up they could have temporarily locked the pcm. Hell you are already beating on the car and making negative post. I would wait till you get more answers from the seller.

Having a NON blown up motor is a good thing.

why does he need to get a new PCM, cant he just have a GM dealer reflash it back to stock??? or are vette's differant. when my pcm was locked a long time ago by a sponsor all i did was took it to the dealer and they flashed it back to stock....did the trick...cost me $90 but cheaper than a pcm.

All you have to do is reflash the PCM with the stock program, then retune the car.

See if you tuner has a TECH 2, get the VIN and go to the dealership, sometimes they will load the program into the TECH 2 for free.

Flashing the PCM back to stock doesn't always work when they have been locked for the guys that suggested that and he will loose his injector tables etc... If he is not a qualified tuner etc... I day get a little tunning help either from the previous owner and tuner etc... GL nice car none the less.

Kinda low IMO. I would think at 9psi would should be making more that 500 at the wheel.
Like LS1290 said the A/F is off.
