6.0L limits
Hey guys I have saerched and found a few differant answers to the limit on the 6.0L when turbo'ed. My question is what is the stock crank capable of holding, I am only shooting for 600hp tops, pistons and rods I will change out to forged units but can the factory crank hold or should i suck it up and dish out for a new unit? I would like to keep stock stroke, no need to go to a 4 inch stroke. This powerplant will be low boost application well less than 15 psi on a 76 mm huffer. The donor vehicle is only 2500 lbs so I will nto need much just want to find the weak links so I have as dependable power as I can get. Thanks.

Thank you very much thats what I was hoping to hear. This is going into a 240sx I have a Ka-T in it now for the last 4 years and made 523 whp but it isnt reliable on such a small motor, its fun and fast as hell but we always want more dont we,. Plus a 6.0L is just badass! Planning on using a Ls6 cam and car intake for it with 60# squirters and a 76mm huffer. the car already has a fuel system and intercooler setup on it anyway so I wont need to do much.

That's perfect man. 6.0's and LS6 cams in turbo apps are an inexpensive way to haul some serious ***. 60# injectors will be perfect if you're staying 600whp or less, and a 76mm turbo should be sick as hell. Can't wait to see more on this car! >=) How big an intercooler does it have currently?

with end tanks its 36 long 3 thick and 12 high. I am blowing 30 plus psi into the current setup now to make this power level I am going to love 15 psi or less and same power with more tq.

Like said above, stock crank should be fine. And you do not want to spin it that high also unless you have it seriously balanced by the time you get it balanced i rather have a Compstar crank for piece of mind.

the iron 6.0l block is only about 60-80lbs heavier than the 5.7 aluminum block. With yur aftermarket parts and what not I bet yull be at about the same weight as the stock alum. block
