So i bought a tc78 last month and i love it. The only thing is my old pte 67mm had a 3inch outlet and the tc78 only has a 2.5.

I heard that there is a race cover available for my tc78. Should i upgrade to that. What real world difference will i see. Will this help with back pressure at all.

Does your TC78 go into a 3 inch tube right after it comes out of the turbo? If so probably wont seen any real gains from that, but the covers do flow better.

Yes it has a 2.5 to 3inch adapter right into a 3inch tube to the intercooler.

I wouldn't worry about upgrading it is blowing straight into 3" pipe. No it will not help with backpressure at all since that is all the exhaust side of the turbo. The little cover really isn't that bad at all people have made over 850 rwhp with the little cover.

Yeah...the cover is worth about 100-120hp over the TC cover.
