Default Positive Displacement and unit longevity

I've noticed that Eaton blowers (Magnusson) are on cars from the factory and expected to last over 100k miles. What about the longevity of the Kenne Bell blowers? I'm wanting to go with a small KB 2.6 in the future, but am not sure how they stack up for longevity. Yes, I know PD blowers aren't the best for track times. It's fine. I'm not building a track car.

(As I typed this, I realized I should probably be looking on the Mustang boards for better KB info, huh?)

The KB has to be as-good, if not better then a Magnacharger.

Ya think? Why does it have to have better longevity than head units designed to last 100k+?

Because internally the KB is made with better parts but I am not saying that the Maggie is made with inferior parts if that makes any sense.

Yeah I saw that and that is unfortunate. I was mainly talking about the blower case and rotors itself but then again maybe the intercooler isn't so hot...

The Kenne Bell utilizes 100% billet CnC'd internals, with a billet case. The rotors are also CnC'd billet.

The Maggie uses steel gears, a cast aluminum case, and teflon coated rotors.

I'm not saying that the maggie/eaton is "Worse" in any way, but it uses FAR inferior parts.

For almost two decades, the Kenne Bell has literally been installed on tousands of vehicles, to include being the factory installed unit on the Shelby Supersnake, and Panoz vehicles.

Ford Motor Co. has come to Kenne Bell on numerous occasions over the last half dozen years asking them to supply S/C's on their factory vehicles. KB not only does not have the capacity, but they are over 3 times more expensive to manufacturer. KB would loose money doing it.

The reason the eaton is used on all the factory cars, is because the ENTIRE head unit cost just under 300 dollars to manufacturer. Its an inexpensive and reliable S/C that makes decent power..

Both the KB and Eaton BOTH stand the test of time.

I had what is commonly known as one of the LEAST reliable generations of Whipple twin screw on my work truck for about 130-140k miles before the bearings started getting too loose. Every bit of info I have ever come across leads me to believe that KB screws are equal or better than Whipple. Infer what you will from this bit of info.
