Default turbo question

How do you change the boost on a turbo motor sbc if it matters and how do you set up air fuel gauge and boost gauge?

The wastegate controls the amount of exhaust gasses that pass through the turbo. More through it more boost. A boost controller controls boost above the wastegate base spring pressure, via a manual or electronic boost controller giving you more boost.

The air fuel gauge, aka wideband is basically a broader o2 sensor.

As for the boost gauge just hook it up to a vacuum port off the intake.

don't think there is a o2 sensor on the car its a 1980 so is there something that is just for older cars?

Yeah a wideband is an aftermaret piece. Its about 250$ or so. Just weld in an o2 bung in the pipe and screw it in.

The a/f guauge should have an O2 sensor with it.
