LS1 Crate Engine Question

LS1 Crate Engine Question
Im fairly new to the muscle side of things being that I am coming from imports, mainly Mitsubishi's.
I just picked up a base 71 chevelle with a motor that is on its last legs. When it goes, I would like to purchase a crate engine and boost it with turbo's. I am ok with the forced induction, however, I wouldn't even know where to start looking and researching crate engines that would have low compression and would be able to hold high levels of boost. To be more specific, I am looking to be in the 800 HP range. If anyone could help and guide me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated.

Read the stickies
There are a bunch of sponsors over there ----> that build "crate" motors. Short/long blocks to your specs.
370-408 with a 88mm turbo will get you where you want to go. There are tons of options though.

I have tried a few searches but haven't found exactly what I am looking for. What do you suggest I try to search?

I'd read some of the threads in here, there are years of good info in here.
For 800HP you could run a stock crank (unless you go stroker), but most would at a minimum suggest forged rods, forged pistons. head studs, and dropped compression.
