What turbo for 408 rearmount?
I want to make about 800rwhp. I have a 408 rearmount turbo with a t70. Its a 6spd. its making about 625rwhp at 8psi right now. How would a st76 work? Or would a gts76 work better? Or should i go bigger? Ive looked around theres not much info for rearmounts making this much power so i would appreciate your input.

^ i know a few rear mounts that make power in that ballpark.
my goal is 500-550 rwhp (with bone stock ls2) and will be using
either a gt60 or gt67. at @ 8 psi
so my guess is your on par with your goal...
any pics of your setup? and good luck!

We used a 76GTS on a 408 butt mount car, it had a .81 EX housing. The top hp number was right around 700rwhp on 11#.
Spool was somewhat an issue, boost came on around 3800-4000. This was majorly due to having the SLP long tubes and a full 3in exhaust.
Going to a 4in downpipe made a huge diffrence though. Even though its a small run, the stocker 3in was a big restriction.
