Default Dynoed 1170hp/1180ft/lbs today.

I dynoed my 6.0 in a superflow sf-902 engine dyno today.

6.0
9.8cr
E85
S480 1.32/ar turbo

And it made 1170hp/1180ft/lbs at 30-20 psi (dropping on high rpm to loose wastegate springs). And to small intercooler (194 intake temp).
Backpressure is 1:1 compared to boost

But a problem: I couldnīt rev over 6800 rpm, sounds like valvefloat or lifterfloat. I use PRC dual springs kit and LS7 lifters.
What do you think my problem is? I need to rev 7500 rpm.

Nice! You need more spring pressure.

So its not the lifters?
Can i shim it or is there a better valve spring kit to buy somewhere?

Thanks,

Not bad.......that turbo will do around 1200-1250 max. We are working on the new Billet 82mm version of that turbo. Should have it ready soon......its rated at 127lbs/min. Upgrade to the 80mm ETT.

Also like Phil said...spring pressure might need to go up.

Those are Flywheel #'s, NOT rwhp. Rwhp is about ~850-900 depending on tranny and convertor slip.

I donīt run mls gaskets. I have done what we do on all euro engines to make the head seal. We mill down a ring around the cylinder with a cutting edge that cuts into the head. Also known as "pyramid rings" and "fire rings". Then you can boost as much as you want

Some pics:

I think itīs good with stock block/crank/853 heads

1601 nm

We also boosted 35 psi at 3600 rpm one time, but i thought it was overkill for my stock crank

I've never heard of this. You would think if it was that easy most people would do it

So what gasket do you run?

Also I'm surprised it took 30psi to get those numbers out of a 6.0L, I'm even more surprised it stayed together doing so.

Itīs not easy, it takes much development. I make these gaskets every week.
We also sell this type of gaskets to BMW,Volvo and now LS1

We also made this type of European fastest 4 cyl car, 7.20@190mph.
