Default PTK Downpipe

My new turbo has a 3.5" outlet and with the v band its 4.5". Does anyone have a PTK downpipe that would fit or could make one for a price? I really don't want to go to a shop around here to have them make one. Hopefully someone on here has one or could fab one up to fit to the 3" exhaust supplied with the kit.

What size DP are you wanting?

One that will fit I'm guessing 3.5" with a v band to equal 4.5" reduced to 3" So I can run the supplied exhaust

The outlet of the turbo measures 3.5" across and the v band 4.5" across.

You would go by the ID which is 3.5" You can get 3.5" pipe but its kinda hard to find. I would reccomend a 4" DP if it will clear, there are places that sell reducer cones to go from 3.5 to 4", infact I ordered one for myself today. You can also get just 1 side of a 3.5" V-band flange since the other side is made on the exhaust housing.

This is going to be a pain in my anus. Do you have the same kit and problems?

Obviously you don't. I checked out your build. I can't do that....I do not have a welder or the skills to do that. That alternator bracket is sick wid it. Any chance you have another one laying around somewhere

No I'm building mine. You can get a reducer cone to make your 3" down pipe adapt to the 3.5 v band flange for 15.00. The 3.5" V band flange is a little more but it will get you what you need to make the current DP work, take it to a qualified shop and have them trim it and tig it together.

Well, I am using an old diesel Lincoln sa-250 pipeline stick machine but you can run a tig torch on any DC stick machine, you just have to run it electrode negative and get a bottle of 100% argon. I have to scratch start just like stick welding and have no foot pedal, it really forces you to become a better welder the hard way, lol. I'm about to get an AC/DC machine with pulse, High frquency, & a foot pedal, man it will be so nice!

You need a 3.5 to 3" reducer, and a 3.5 v band assembly. You really only need 1 v band flange and a v band clamp but since they dont sell them like that you might as well get a whole assembly which consists of 2 flanges and a clamp.

There is ZERO room to be adding reducers or anything.

I'm going to certainly try it. Not adding to it to make it larger, cut away from it to compensate for the extra material to allow for the reducer.

Edit: Aren't the 70mm and 76mm turbo's the same size, just the internals are different?

You are going to be cutting away the body of the car to make it fit. Mine already is almost rubbing, and im running the kit the way that it came with a 3inch T4 downpipe.

Your running a 70 and mines a 76. The size is the same, just my outlet is 3.5"s and yours is 3". It's some BS

Isnt the reducer going to cause to downpipe to stick out further? ?

If the downpipe is made into a 3.5" then it will stick out .25" more and reduce to the 3" when it's straight. So I'd need a 90 degree 3.5" piece of 321 ss a 4.5" v band clamp, and the reducer. I smell all kinds of bullshit. And I'll probably need a BFH.

sounds like it'd be easier to sell your turbo and use the dough for one that fits. I don't know exactly what is going on for you, but my P76GTS fits well.
