Default SDCE question

Is it normal to have the tensioner shake from side to side while the car is idling, and move towards the drivers side as you tap the throttle a little? I think my tensioner is starting to go bad, but not sure how to check. Last week on the street I was getting up to 18 psi and still clmbing, but on the dyno it flatlined at 16.2 psi. It sounds like a bearing or something is going bad to, as it was making a sound I haven't heard before.

Depends on what kind of dyno you ran it on. Mine makes more on the street than it does on the Dynojet.

Do you have any belt dusting?

I would make sure the damper or crank pulley didnt come loose, at idle it shoulnt move that much, a little is normal. When you snap the throttle it will move some, but unless something running out or the belt is messed up the tensioner shouldnt be moving around a lot at idle.

As far as the boost on a dynojet vs street/track if the weather was the same the boost vs rpm is the same for me.

I have the sdce tensioner and it doesn't move at idle. When i torque the throttle over by hand it will move alittle but not much.

Went for a few runs on the street today, and it got up to 18.3 psi at 6700 rpm's. It didn't flatline like it was doing on the dyno. The belt looks like it is almost touching the waterpump, and it digging in it as you can see in the picture below. I think it only touches under WOT. Anyone else having this issue?

Mine is making a mark on my Mez H2O pump too. It also was grinding down the hex standoff on the bottom, so I had to round it off close to the engine. BUt it doesn't move around much. Do you have the angle brace installed the goes to the oil pan?

Yup that angle brace going to the oil pan is installed. Should I grind down the pump a little bit? I dont think it could be a good thing to have the belt rubbing on something under WOT.

The blower pulley is a 3.7"

Mine is that close to the water pump, the mark on the backside of the belt looks like its more from the idler pulley on the bracket. If the belt is hanging off the edge of that pulley some thats how it looks after a while. If the belt is getting frayed on the edge then its rubbing but I can hardly put a business card between my EWP pulley and the belt and from what I can see they never rubbed.
