Default The difference between a high PRESSURE vs. a high VOLUME pump.

I just installed a new Walbro 225 fuel pump in my 02 turbo Trans Am WS6. the pressure at idle and when crusing is a steady 57 lbs. But drops to about 35 when I get on it. I guess I need to add a 2nd pump. But when I called the local shop they asked if I want the high PRESSURE or the high VOLUME pump. Whats the difference and about the wiring, cant I just splice into the stock wireing to power the 2nd pump. (the car has 60lbs injectors, and has about 650 RWHP.)

Thanks guys.

255 is the volume, not sure what they are asking???

They make a lower pressure 255 pump that is rated for the 43# pressure range instead of the 58# that you need.

You are looking for problems trying to run everything off of stock wiring.

If I can interest you in a properly built setup, let me know. The learning curve is steep when you are spending your own money.
