Default dyno found problems!!

Well i have a ls2 shortblock in my 2000 z28 auto 3600 vig, 3.73 full bolt-ons.ls6 manifold, ls6 head, torquer v2 cam

Cars first dyno pull was about 394 hp running 120% duty cycle on the stock injectors 28lbs?

we were able to get 403hp at 127% duty cycle but the injectors are clearly maxed out.

I was thinking of going fast 92/92 and a 36lbs injector, question is; will this be enough on the fuel side? Will the 36lbs get me about 80-90% duty cycle with the adition to the fast 92/92?

I have also read on a few threads that once you have a maxed out injector and simply swap to a better one you can see hp gains. My A/F was at about 13.3-13.5 i believe so we may be able to go 12.9-13.1 with the fuel upgrade, this should get me more power right?

Some Bosch Design III 36 lb/hr @ 3 bar would be a perfect fit for your present application. FICINJECTORS has them for $239 a set right now.

Concerning additional power, there may be a little more in it once you tune the new injectors.

I was thinking 36, but most tell me 42, i would think the 36 would be better for low speed drivability. I just have a 364cu and torquer cam.

You can run 42's, but they are waaaaaay overkill for your application. Remember the ratings are at 3 bar and the LSx fuel system runs at 4 bar. This makes a 36 lb/hr @ 3 bar a 41.57 lb/hr @ 4 bar injector.

Well as soon as i get my federal taxes back the fast 92 and 36lbs are on the way with some new dyno results.

Car made power till 6500 then dipped off, hopefully the fast and new injectors pull all the way to 7,000 without losing anything below 3500

Check your fuel pressure as I wouldn't think you'd max out a 28lb injector at >400hp. You might have a restriction and not maintaining proper fuel pressure.

I see what you are saying but I do have a 12 bolt, and unlocked 3600 stall so that may be 440hp in a 6 speed car with a 10 bolt, does that sound right? Also don't forget i have the 364 cu. and a cam with 232 234 .595 .598, so it definitely needs plent more fule then stock, oh and I'm taking it to 7,000 rpm. I will get the fast 92/92 and the 36lbs, then next dyno we will check fuel pressure, just to make sure.

Isn't the 2000 cars equiped with 26lbs?
