Default Installed Ractronix and Hotwire

Pics work now.

Installed Racetronix fuel pump and hotwire kit. Went good, not too bad at all. It's a very complete kit, started right up, primed easy. My trap door method was not a hack job either. Looks good to me and did it in my garage with a full tank.

I'm still not sure what the racetronix hotwire kit does, but was alot of work for a fuel pump I guess. I guess it decreases voltage drop, is that correct?

Well, the car is ready to take the blower now pretty much.

The stock fuel harness sucks. With the Racetronix harness your pump will have consistent power. It is even a good mod for the stock pump.

Well worth the money.

I recently installed mine, but dropped the tank since the rearend was out anyways...very easy.

I just ordered this kit from racetronix a few minutes ago. I will be doing the install this week sometime. Do you guys recommend using the racetronix directions or using the directions in the sticky at the top of the forum here? The racetronix ones don't say anything about cutting holes in the bucket at all, thats why I am asking.

BTW your pictures don't work joblo1978

That is the good thing about the Racetronix kit...you don't have to modify the bucket at all.

Follow the instructions in the kit.

Yes just follow the instructions that come with the pump.

The hot wire harness makes sure there is no voltage drop to the pump, as said before. Walbro's draw more power than the stock pump and you won't be getting everything out of one without a wiring upgrade. And yes, even the stock pump benefits from the hot wire kit.
