whats up with Shells new gas, "Nitrogen-Enriched"?... curious how far this thread will go

My understanding is that nitrogen was added to fuel as far back as the 60's and we haven't had any problems since then, why would we have it now. I will try to find the source I found this in.

marketing hype. Chevron and Texaco gasolines have Techron, which includes nitrogen as one ingredient.
