Default What size Injectors do I need ?

Ok i'm about to do some work to my 99 Trans am and I would like to know if I need to go with bigger injectors. So it's a Mt1 R1 cam 232/236 .575/.578 114lsa, PRC 2.5 stage 5.3 Heads, LS6 Intake, ETC..... Will my stock 26lbs. Injectors work fine or would I have to upgrade to bigger. I think i'm going to anyways so if ya'll could help me out that would be great.

You would have to get bigger injectors with those mods. I installed a 228/228 .588/.588 112 LSA cam and 243 Ported heads on my car and my injector duty cycle was running at 99% at WOT with stock 26lbs injectors. I installed FMS SVO 30lb injectors and now it runs 65-70% at WOT. You could probably get by with the 30lb but if you plan on doing other mods, I would go with 32,36,39 or maybe 42's. I also heard its bad to go to big. Its all gonna depend on how much horses your pushing. The FMS SVO 30lb injectors run at a higher rate with the fuel pressure the LSX engine have. I believe its 36 or 39#. Just remember that if you get your car tuned after your mods and then put bigger injectors in, you will have to return it for tuning the bigger injectors. The stock 26lb will work but with the duty cycle so high, their gonna end up going bad in a matter of time anyways.

your duty cycle will be running high at wot. you will need to do a tune with that setup and might as well get some 32s, 36s, or 42s to drop in. unless you want to get it retuned for new injectors later.

I'd say go for the 42's.
