Default When is it time for Injectors?

Alright guys, I've been trying to decide whether or not I should get injectors, which led me to think...how much hp can you push out of the 98-00 compared to the 01-02 engines with stock injectors?

My setup will be a Torquer V.2 cam (112) with stock LS6 intake and full bolt on's...so should I get aftermarket 36lbs. injectors?

Any input is much appreciated.

36 will flow 42 in your car. I think its way to much. Use the Bosch III which is what the car came with.. We have brand new 30's which will flow 36 in your car for 289 flow matched.. Check them out

Well, the 98 had 28.8lb injectors, the 99, 00 had 26.6lb injectors and the 01-02 had the same 28.8lb as 98's. I think it all depends on your drivetrain efficiency as to how much power you make and how much injector you need. What I mean is, 400 rwhp in a stock 10-bolt, 3.42 gear m6 with a ud pulley, light flywheel etc is much less injector than in a 12-inch, 4.10 gear, high stall auto that also makes 400rwhp.

Best bet, get someone with a data logger to check your injector cycle duty. Anything more than 80% and it's time to upgrade to larger to be safe.

Thanks for the input guys. I've got a 12 bolt from Strange with 4.11's in the rear so that would prolly keep my rwhp numbers a little lower than a stock 10 bolt would.

As far as data logger. I have just purchased a HPTuner a couple weeks back and am still learning the basics with it.
