Default What's the Deal with my Fuel Pressure??

Ok so for a while I have been having a little trouble getting my car to start. It cranks over for a while before it will actually start. Sometimes I have to try it like 4 times before it starts. I finally started to take a look at things and I hooked a fuel pressure guage up to the fuel rail and ran it under the hood. I go to start it and the pressure slowly starts to build up each time it starts to crank over. When it finally gets high enough it will take of and start up. I need to know what to look for is there a relay that could have gone bad or is it just time for a new fuel pump with hotwire kit. I need to get this fix asap. Thanks for all the help and I have tried to search it brings up nothing useful.

I have already changed the fuel filter that didn't help. I believe that I am going to have to replace the pump. after some reading I am pretty sure that the fuel pressure regulator is going and that is why it doesn't hold pressure.
