Default Ford 460 with excessive gas in the oil...

I have a 460 Ford with a 650 Holley and an Edelbrock mid rise plate. I had the motor sitting around for about three years just stuck it in my truck. New oil, carb was freshly redone, fuel pump is brand new. Checked the fuel pump according to old man terminology, stuck finger over the inlet port tried pressing the rod which was still really stiff, so i take it the fuel pump is still good???? Took valve covers off because i was told the valve could be sticking, but looks to be moving up and down just fine. Brand new plugs and plug wires, and engine still chugs, but doesn't have cam, still a stock motor. Does anyone have any ideas of what could be causing EXCESSIVE gas to be in the oil??? Can't seem to figure it out....all advice would be very helpful...
