Default '99 LS1 injectors - '03 LS6 injectors ANY DIFFERENCE???

Just wondering if the LS6 fuel injectors are the same or different then LS1. And if so, what size are they and how much better? Thanks for helping! Jim

Also...when I do install them I can still do a tune with my diablo sport tuner or do I have to take it in a dyno-tune shop to get a tune?

I know this thread is old, but I'm about to upgrade my stock 98 injectors with ls6 injectors off a Z06, would this affect my tune at all, since they are both 28# injectors?

The Part #s on my 98 were 12554271 and the part numbers on the ls6's were 12561462, when i got my tune last year, the tuner told me my injectors were weak and they had 130K on them, I found some ls6's with only 20K on them for a good price. so I figured they would be better.

Thanks for the info, They look slightly different, the LS6 injectors are a little thicker. I guess its safe to drive on them without a retune then.

Would the ls6 injectors bolt up to ls1 intake and fuel rail?
