anyone have or know where i can find a step by step guide on cutting out an opening for easy access to the fuel pump? v6 vert by the way.

There are many threads on this site about that. Just remember the one thing not to do is use a torch, cut off wheel or anything that will make sparks while cutting out the panel. I have said this many times on threads related to this same thing.
I don't own any of the cars you all are working on, I have an off road buggy with an LS engine in it. Just be careful, take your time and look before you cut into anything.
