Default Fuel t-fitting

Ok, so I have searched and searched. Where does the line coming out of the t-fitting (by the fuel filter) go to? Do I need to keep that line? I am replacing the feed line and return lines with braided stuff and a new billet fuel filter.... but what do I do about this line?

The one side comes in from the gas tank, one goes back to the tank (return line), and the third side goes forward to the fuel rails.

So there is actually two return lines? Can I just cap that one off and run the return line from the rails back to the tank?

One question - I was assuming you were asking about an F-body fuel system. Is this the case?

If not, the answer may vary. On an F-body, the return back to the tank (where the regulator is) is back there at the t-fitting. The fuel going forward to the rails stays at the rails and never returns to the tank.
