Default No fuel pressure after v6 to v8 conversion

Here's my problem, I have a 98 firebird that had a v6 in it and I changed it out for a 383 ls1. I took the fuel lines from the doner car but not the tank or fuel pump. Now I am trying to start it but no go. I have fire but no fuel at the fuel rail. What am I missing? I can hear the pump running but no pressure!

Check you return lines. you may have your line reversed.

can you give more info on your fuel set up? did you change the stock pump out and replace with one to to handle the v8. do you know what the pressure at the rail is?

All I did was change out the fuel lines as the v6 had 3 lines coming to the engine and the ls has only 2. the fuel pump and tank are from the v6.

you have the quick connects crossed above the fuel tank.

The V6 car had the regulator on the engine, not in the tank. You need a V8 sender with the regulator or you will not have any pressure.

I just pulled the shrader valve out at the tap on the fuel rail and cranked the engine. I had fuel flow at the rail so I hooked up my gauge to the port but had no pressure. So the regulator in the tank is in addition to the one on thr fuel rail?

An LS1 f-body engine does not have a regulator on the rail.

That is a pulse dampener not a regulator on the rail... plus you do not have a return line up there.

Get a fuel sender with a regulator in it & use with the V8 lines..... this is your problem.
