Default Fuel problems Need help fast.

I just put a new camshaft in my 2002 a4 camaro and i was letting it break in and idle for a couple of hrs. and i didnt happen to notice that it ran out of gas. but i tried to put more gas into the tank and the gauge never read it. all the other gauges work. also the fuel pump doesnt prime after this so i think that the fuel pump is out. if so what pump would be good.?? all help is greatly appreciated!

Yeah, it can kill a fuel pump if you let them run dry.

I would do walbro gs340 kit from one of the sponsors.
