I'm installing a 01 ls1 oem fuel pump on a 98 ls1.My question is that the 01pump has a nipple on top of it and the other 98 oem pump didn't.My question is do I need that nipple on the 01 fuel pump?What does it do.Can I just plug it up?I need help.

The nipple shoots fuel out to fill the fuel bucket on the plastic tanks. If you don't do something with it, it will probably shoot fuel at the top of your tank I'm not sure if you should plug it or hook a hose to it and point it at the bottom.
