Default Can I get rid of EVAP connection to intake?

Car runs good then starts to idle funny and bucking while in throttle. Believe there is a intake leak somewhere but have checked everything. Can I cap the spot on the intake where the poly hose push to connect fitting goes from the intake to the evap purge solenoid? Can I just vent the solenoid to atmosphere for now to see if it works. That leak could be anywhere in the line from intake to tank
