Default 99-02 racetronix kit on a 98?

Will using a 99-02 kit work on a 98? What makes the kits different?

Can the newer kit be made to work on a 98?

The 98 kit has a sleeve that allows pump mounting as well as a different fuel sock for use in the 98 tank.

Yes you can probably make it work, but no need unless you are getting it very cheap.

Personally I would do it right the first time.
I also keep both kits in stock.

Thanks for the heads up. What's the 98 kit cost? Does the hotwire kit work with it, or is that different too? I've got a price of $150 for a low mileage pump kit with harness... didn't think that was too bad at all...

You do not need one, but I highly recommend one.

The factory wiring is marginal for a bigger pump & the hot wire kit will increase the voltage/flow significantly.
