Default Plastic disc under O-ring on injector...needed for swap?

I recently swapped from the stock injectors to a set of Siemens 60lb'ers. I have numerous issues with rough idle and surging lately, but that's a long story in itself... I pulled the injectors back out today, and I was comparing them to the stock injectors, and noticed that the stock injectors have a brownish plastic disc underneath the O-ring at the tip of the injector (the end that seats into the intake). The 60lb injectors do not have these discs. Was I supposed to swap them over, or are the 60s just designed differently? The 60s look like they have a small ledge or lip that the plastic disc would fit over perfectly...

TIA
