Default Selector switch or "T"?

Ok, simple deal here. I've got a 383 carbed LS1 in my boat and am thinking about going back to EFI.

I have twin tanks, so my question is simply this:

Can I put a T on the feed and a T on the return; or do I need to run a feed/return selector valve to only feed/return to 1 tank at a time?

Would the engine need the combined flow from both pumps, or will one pump be able to supply enough fuel for the engine's needs?

One pump is enough. With either the selector or the T I plan to run only 1 external pump. Right now I only need one to support about 575 fwhp plus a 125 wet shot.

The difference is really $550 for the 6 port selector or MUCH less than $550 for some T's. Right now I'm using a T with the tanks to feed it carbed - but I didn't know if that would work with the return line.
