Default 4th Gen Fuel Cell ?s

Gents, I am back to my roots with a 2001 SS build. Who makes fuel cells that fit in the trunk area and how big can you get them?

I have an Aeromotive Eliminator to use with it and I need the extra room under the car for exhaust.

Any links would be appreciated. I tried google and turned up a few vague references and some hippy crap about chlorophyl. More like BOREophyl.

Alrighty. After a lot more searching I found that Motovative makes a nearly 15 gallon cell for the trunk area. The bad news- the sump sticks out right where my CME tips will be. Crap.

You can always turn it around so that the sump exits facing towards the front of the car

I had the exact same thought and in the same brain breath I asked myself, "self, doesn't that defeat the purpose of the sump if the level is low?"

I'd be leary of hammering down with less than a 1/4 tank of fuel and forward facing sump. Thoughts?

I would never reccomend running the fuel level that low in the cell that it would matter The best way to handle that issue is to throw some fuel cell foam in it to stop the sloshing.

The other thing you can do to help is raise the rear two mounting feet up 1/8".

I have one of these sitting on the shelf at the moment for immediate shipment.
