Default Evap line elimination?

OK, I have my car completely torn down and I am in the process of eliminating everything I don't need under the hood. I am wondering if I can put some kind of check valve to atmosphere on the end of the line. Something like this:

Or maybe even just cap the line and put a vented gas cap on the car?

I planned to cut it down further back where it couldn't be seen and install this fitting maybe up under the brake booster or somewhere it couldn't be seen.

I have run them with and without capping the line. Never noticed any problems either way.

You mean just hard capping it with no vent and a regular gas cap? If I can do that I would prefer it.

Yeah, I just unhooked it from the hard line (right behind the ABS module) and put a rubber cap on the hard line and on the intake.

I put a small filter element on the end of mine. When I redo my fuel lines, I'm going to just change over to a vented cap.
