Cool fuel pump question.

I'm a new owner of a 99 T/A, It has a turbo 70mm installed with 60# injectors. It has the stock fuel in it. I bought a Granatelli 340 to install. It was recommended by Summit Racing. I pulled the old fuel pump, out which is on my bench in pieces. Here's my issues, 1. The new pump they said was a drop in replacement. It doesn't fit tightly in the holder. 2. There are 2 ports on the top of the pump. The larger one is the main discharge port. There is a small port just below the + terminal. Not sure what this port is for. Can any one tell ? If anyone has any thoughts about securing the pump better, wether this pump is over kill and the smaller port at the top of the pump. Just wanting to make sure i'm getting proper fuel to engine when turbo is engaged.
Thanks for your help. Joe.

The Granetelli pump is not a direct fit, even though it says so.
You can probably find 50 posts about this pump setup.

Search the internet first, then buy. It will save you in the long run.

The Racetronix is a true direct fit kit if you want something that works properly.
