Default Fast LSXR 102 W/Bosch injectors

I have a buddy that bought a LSXR 102 manifold used.
He put a set of Ford Motorsport/Bosch green top injectors
in a stock LS3 fuel rail and made a set of spacers so the rail
would bolt to the manifold.

Here is the problem, everything works out except injector holes in the manifold
are to large for the older Bosch style injector O-Ring.

I called Fast and the only thing they could do for me was sell me a set of adapters.

This will put the LS3 fuel rail cross over tube into the cowl.

Is there a way to use the older Bosch injectors in the 102 manifold?

FAST has lower orings that come with the cathedral port intake. Have you tried them, your probably didnt get them with a used manifold.

Take off your oring on the Ford injectors and measure the OD of the o-ring groove, then do the same with an OEM LS1 injector. This will tell you if you simply need the o-rings or not.

I have a stock LS1 F-Body manifold is the shop and the Bosch injectors fits that manifold
just fine.

Do the LS2 and newer motors use bigger injectors?

This is a LSXR 102 square port.

I had this problem with the PP Typhoon IIRC. Using LS1 style injectors, I went down to O'Reilly and picked up o-rings for a 2006 GTO (since they didn't know what LS2s went into...) and it worked fine.

Most likely you simply need the orings from FAST. Measure the injectors like I said to be sure.

Ls2 injectors use a larger diameter oring, and all th LSXR intakes are designed to use the LS2 injectors.

This isnt the correct way to do it. The OD of the injector oring gooves is different. The correct way is to get the FAST orings.

If you have it already, break out the o-rings!!!! (Assuming you have a new cathedral port version #146302, its the only one that comes with the orings)

Ok guys I know that I'm going to get thrown under the bus for this but the LS3
O-Rings did not fit the Bosch injectors, so I converted the manifold to the Bosch
type injector.

Now we have a ton of injectors to choose from.

To sum it up I made a set of sleeves and used Locktite to hold them in place.

Locktite 680 is a very strong sleeve retaining compound and is rated for +300 F.
They also have 620 it's rated +400 F.
If it reaches 300 F in the manifold we will have bigger issues to deal with.

my fast intake came with the o-rings. then it just took some slight grinding so that my greentops sat at the right angle.

I sent fast tech guys pic's and was back and forth with tech for most of the day
trying to find a solution for this.

In my research I seen a install in GM Hi-Tech and they took pic's of some supplied O-rings
but did not type one word about them, just a pic.

I ask the guys at fast about this and they told me that was for the cathedral port manifolds.

This manifold is for the L92 heads if that matters.

I sprayed WD40 around all the injectors with the motor idling, it stayed puddled
so that tells me there are no vac leaks.

It was a fun Saturday afternoon project anyway.

good job! i wish i seen this sooner, we have a o ring kit that is the OD of the ls2 and fits the std size injector to the manifold. These work on Siemens, Bosch old style and the stock ls1 injector. they are 22 per 8 injectors.
