Wire in the second pump, then install this between the 12v or ground trigger for the 2nd pump's relay

less of a wiring job to control ground side..run a short wire from the switch to the head/block then one long wire to the relay

2nd pump is wired to painless fuel pump relay, can I just run power directly to alternator like hot wire kit? should I upgrade wire gauge? how do i manual override the relay?

12v source if you're using the switch as ground, yes you can wire an override switch
