What size line inside tank for high HP?
I just got twin Deatschwerks 300+ pumps in hopes of running E85 for high boost. However, I'm wondering about a possible restriction inside the tank.
2002 Corvette:
My setup consists of twin pumps that "T'd" into the OEM outlet of the fuel hat using 5/16" line inside the pump, -8an on the outside to the fuel rails. I picked up some 7/16" fuel line that has pretty thick walls and its just too big to use with my 1/2" Y fitting that I had in my toolbox. I'm sure I could make it work, but it certainly wouldn't be pretty and I'd be uncertain about its effectiveness. I know the best option would be to put a bulkhead into the hat, but I'm not sure I want to do that. If that is the best option, are there any concerns with leaks? What hose is best for inside the tank using a AN bulkhead?
What are your thoughts?
Thanks!
