FIC1000 pintle cap problem
What is the purpose of the tiny black plastic ring cap around the tip of the FIC1000 injectors, and how does it seat? It is between the O-ring, and the orifice. It's different then the pintle caps I'm accustomed to as it doesnt appear to be a 'cap' at all.
Looks like its listed as an "O-Ring Retainer"
Any bright ideas on how to seat them? When I removed my injectors, I only got 5 retainers back. Only one was still seated. Idk if the others fell off during removal, or my engine ate them, or what. Stupid plastic things.
BAD injector (no retainer)

Good injector on right, bad injector on left. Four of the injectors were like this with the retainer partially popped off
N/A no meth no boost E85 fuel. Nothing crazy. Engine is still being broken in and hasn't seen above 4000rpms, or any high stress/temperatures. What the **** causes this.
