Default Lingenfelter 350lph pump questions?

I just saw that Lingenfelter released their 350lph in tank pump. I have been looking to run a 340lph Aeromotive but was wondering if this one might work better? Is this a direct drop in plug and play? Any advice is much appreciated

I'm looking to run a drop in pump rather than an in-line 044. Anyone know if this pump will drop right in to a stock cup on an 02 SS?

Default 46 mm E85 pump vs Bosch 040 and 044

I don't have a complete flow curve for the Bosch 040 pump but it has the same flow and current draw specifications as the 044 pump (same pump internally - just a different inlet side for inline vs in-tank installation).

Below is a graph of our 46 mm E85 pump vs the Bosch 044 pump. It has been a while since we tested one of the Bosch 044 pumps but I am fairly sure that data is with the check valve outlet fitting. I used the 15 volt data because that was the lowest voltage data I had at the same voltage point (we tested the 044 at 13 volts and we tested the 46 mm pump at 13.5 so I couldn't use that data for comparison). We do our own flow testing in house but for marketing material like this we usually have a third party do the flow testing for us. In this case all of this flow testing was performed by Kinsler Fuel Injection.

I have also included a copy of the more complete flow data and graphs for the 46 mm pump (including the current draw data).

Note that the 46 mm does pull more current than the 040/044 or the Walbro/TI GSS pumps so size your fuse and wiring accordingly.

Sounds like a great pump and it should easily fit my needs in terms of what I need for fuel. Will this pump fit in a stock 99+ cup with minor modifications the same as the Walbro and Aeromotive pumps? Thanks ahead!

Default Fitment/size of 46 mm E85 pump

This pump is larger than the Walbro GSS pumps. I will get a CAD drawing converted to image format and post it on this thread.

Below is a picture of the pump next to a Walbro GSS pump for comparison.

We haven't tried to fit it in a 1999+ F-body fuel pump module. I would guess it would be a tight fit though.

Default Wire size

Factory wiring on what vehicle? In most cases the wiring will need to be upgraded. This pump flows significantly more than the Walbro GSS series pumps and (so) it draws more current, requiring larger gauge wire.

How high in fuel pressure will you be running and will you be voltage boosting the pump (that impacts how much current the pump pulls).

At 60 psi and 13.5 volts the pump pulls roughly 16 amps.

At 90 psi and 13.5 volts the pump draws 18.5 amps.

At 60 psi and 17 volts the pump draws 20 amps.

At 90 psi and 17 volts the pump draws 23 amps.

How long will the wires be (the longer the wire length, the larger the gauge wire needed to minimize the voltage drop)?

In most cases we recommend 10 to 12 AWG wire be used.

Can anyone confirm this fits in a 99?

Jason,

Would a racetronix hotwire kit be enough for this pump?

Default Wiring and fitment

It won't fit a stock '99 module and keep in mind it doesn't have a jet pump inlet like the 97-03 Walbro pump has so it won't be able to fill the bucket the way the OEM pump does. You would have to make a different module or convert to "pump on a stick" type configuration (no module).

The Racetronix harness should be fine as long as you aren't running really high voltage (above 18volts) and high pressure. Then the current draw might be too much for the connectors.
