Default Need some info for a custom fuel level sending unit

I have a sumped 98 tank in a 99 camaro. I'm getting a custom fuel level sending unit that will be mounted in the top of the tank where the fuel sending unit was. The ohm range I'm using is 40E/250F. Is this the correct ohm range for a 1999 camaro? Also I need to know is the height of the sending unit. It needs to be 1/2" LESS than the depth of the tank.

I'm using the ohm range for 99 camaro since thats what my car is. The biggest thing I need to know is what the depth of the 98 steel tank is.
