Default Injector sizing for procharged 383

Trying to start putting some parts together for my procharged 383 LT1 build. My goal for the build is 800 RWHP, im still debating between F1A/C/R blowers but I would like to have some room to grow over 800 if I want.

Using the calculator in the sticky I come up with that I need roughly 80 lb injectors to run at 80% duty cycle at 58 psi fuel pressure.

So my question is, what fuel pressure do you want to run on a supercharged setup like I'm planning? Assuming it is, would low imp 120lb injectors work alright for my setup or would they be overkill? And are there any brands I should look for or stay away from?

120's are overkill.

Give me a call & I'll be glad to help you out.

For 800bhp at .60 BSFC with 8 injectors at 58 psi and 80% cycle you would need ~65lbs/hr.

Why do you want to run 4 bar?

He's wanting 800+ RWHP, not crank HP. 65's will not support his fueling needs.

our ls1 and etc. from GM are all 4 bar, 58psi. **most fuel injectors are rated at 43.5psi.

all of those above mentioned calculations for sizing injectors are based on engine HP numbers, not rear wheel numbers as stated further in this thread. A good injector for this setup would be a 90# or 96#, and would have head room. As 81 LBs at 1,000bhp equated to what duty cycle? 80%? 85%?

ok, thats really not leaving much headroom, so a 90# would give some extra head room in case it made more power

Since I'm going to be redoing my entire fuel system should I run the 43.5 psi fuel pressure or stick with the stock 58?

I don't own a LSx so I can't tell you haha. I know jack about their fuel needs.

sticking with the 58 gives you more headroom as injectors are rated at 43.5. I would stick with 58

The injector size I listed was for 58 psi. Not 43.5 psi. So at 43.5psi you would need and even bigger injector.

You should run the lower 3 bar pressure as it will be easier to maintain boost referenced pressure settings. You should design around the lower pressure whenever possible.
