Default other pump options

I recently swapped an LS1 into my '97 LT1 T/A. During the swap I swapped the stock LT1 fuel pump for a LT1 Racetronix pump and hotwire kit. I got the swap running last week. I took the car out on its first post swap drive yesterday and after about 10 miles the car died on me after I took a turn. I could not immediately get it started, I waited a few minutes and got it going again. I decided to head back home and on the way back the same thing happened several more times, until I was a block away from my house and it completely gave up on me. I can no longer hear the pump priming and I have confirmed that I still have power to it.

When I installed the pump I completely drained the tank of old fuel, and note that the tank was very clean. Now my question is this, should I risk buying another racetronix/walboro pump or is there any other options out there? I would hate to keep throwing $150 out the window with no warranty everytime it goes out.

Is the fuel pressure the same on an LT1 as an LS1?

No the LT1 is around 45psi and the LS1 is 58psi if I remember right. Im using a corvette filter/regulator also, as are many others that have done this swap.

Could the fact that he's running an LT1 fuel pump to supply and LS1 motor be his problem? Not enought fuel???

No the pump is a 255lph and will surely meet his demands.

Have you posted on our www.racetronix.info forum?

It is VERY rare for a pump to die like that, especially given that you seem to have installed it correctly. Typically early failures are due to installation error.

Old Geezer has the right question. Sounds like the vent. The Walbro used in the Racetronix are some of the most reliable pumps available.
