Default high mileage with stock pump

How long have some of you guys with higher mileage cars had your stock pumps last? my car is up to almost 230k on the stock unit (as far as I know) and was wondering how long i might have before it craps out. what are some symptoms of a failing stock pump? I was planning on replacing it before I did anymore big mods but wanted to know how long itll last.

Mine lasted to right at 200,000 miles. Then it died on a road trip and I had to get a tow to my destination on Thanksgiving eve.

No warning signs, It just died.

Call Lonnie at Lonnie's performance for a replacement when you need it.

if it whines, try running a can of sea foam through it. Mine did that in it's younger days and it shut it right up.

My original was 10-years/200k miles before I took it out. We had already cut the access panel as a preemptive measure prior to a 1,500 mile road trip. The pump never died, I just put in a larger motor and didn't realize I needed a bigger pump to support the setup, so we put in a racetronics.

However, the stock fuel pump was certainly a champ. Here's a video from a month ago... Stock fuel pump still in the car and the car made 478rwhp

thanks for the suggestion. so do like 1/2 can of sea foam with a full tank or should I use more?

I think either way with 230k im going to be changing it soon anyway so i can start planning for more mods.

I used the entire can, but I think 230k is pushing it. I'd certainly plan on getting another one soon. BTW, cut the access panel. MUCH easier than dropping the rear/tank.

That what I was thinking lol. Ill probably get a racetronix pump. I was planning on doing the "trap door" to access it.
