I have a set of ID725's looking to install in my stock intake. I've noticed that the injector bore/bung is not stepped like the ls1s are thus it appears that the injectors will only use the upper O-ring seal. Looking at other aftermarket injectors even ones that are labeled direct fit they all look to have this same stepped feature. I've tried finding an answer to this on several forums but not sure if its an issue or not.


Any help would be appreciated. I was hoping to keep the stock I take albeit it's one of the ugliest ones out there.

Including a PIC I have of the two injectors side by side. I'm not concerned about the overall the length as I'll just modify the fuel rail.

Maybe I can simplify the question, has anyone used aftermarket injectors on the stock truck intake and if so did they have this same step?

No reason that short inj won't work w/ the truck intake. When you make the rail hold downs, be sure they are the correct length.
My LQ4 intake has shorties in it, with Summit rails, and my home made hold downs.
