Default Edelbrock 24-3638 fuel rail issues!!!!

I purchased a set of these from summitracing.com along with -08an to 3/8 npt. The fuel rails claim to be 3/8 npt but will not accept the 3/8npt to -8an summitracing pieces. Has anybody every had this problem with these rails. I have several buddies running them and no issues yet. Do I have a bad set from summit or what? Any input on the topic would be much appreciated. Thanks

I had the same problem. Mine only screw in about 2-3 full turns.
I took them out and the threads were galled pretty bad. I went ahead and reinstall them,
but I have not run the car yet, to see if they leak.
I was thinking about tapping the fuel rails out, but my connectors match the threads now. Both connectors and fuel rail galled.
I'm in for some advise also.

Same problem with the 3639 (I think that is the #) for my Pro-Flo intake rails. I just ran a 3/8NPT tap through them and haven't had an issue. I think the rails threads are tapped on the light side and then the coating doesn't help tolerances.
