Default Walbro 255

Yesterday Morning my fuel pump began whining, and I think its time to replace it. I have a 1998 Trans Am but I am unsure of which/where to order the walbro replacement from. I did look but couldnt find a part number, are they universal? I wouldnt mind going with the racetronix one but I dont have $200 to spend on the pump.

So if anyone could point me in the right direction on ordering the Walbro that would be appreciated.

Thanks,
-Buddy-

Is it universal or is there a certain walbro part number I should be ordering?

Thanks.

My engine builder ordered and installed it, so not sure of part number. I know now I have to put key in on position hearing the pump prime for a few seconds before it will start.

The FPA-001 is $149.99 not $200.00
If you do not require the HP support of this pump we offer a lower performance FPA-016 for $107.10. Both these pumps will maintain the proper function of your fuel module's jet pump. A generic Walbro will not.

Awesome Thanks for letting me know, I definitly would rather spend the money on a racetronix then. My car is just stock with a lid, I plan on putting headers and thats it so I think the fpa-016 would be good enough, right?

OP says he has a 1998. The FPA-001 shows to be for 99-on.

AH! Ty for noticing that. It was the original reason I thought the Racetronix were $200 for my car (1998 Trans am).
